The essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation from Aspidosperma polyneuron Muell. Arg. leaves collected in southeastern Brazil was analyzed by GC, GC/MS. Aspidosperma polyneuron (Apocynaceae) is a species known as "peroba-rosa" in the Southern region of Brazil, State of Parana (PR), and as 'perova'.
